You should expect to be locked into a character's route relatively early on, and generally without being fully aware of it until you're already well into your interactions with said character. While some have criticized this, I think it reinforces the constant theme of being "trapped" with these people (sometimes literally!). There is no completely "good" character here; in fact they all have some serious issues. How that impacts you, though, is up to the choices you make once you are in a specific route. You may not always like the options you're presented, or even the events that happen along a particular route. But as a whole, the game is definitely something that I think should be experienced and appreciated for the effort that has been put into it.Lastly, Ophelia is best girl and nobody can convince me otherwise.. At the very least I'd say it's worth the play. All twelve of the characters are unique and intriguing in their own way, and the overarching plot line is really cool once you unlock it! With that said, I think it's pretty lacking as far as horror goes.... Of the twelve, there are only three character routes that I would actually consider horror, plus one who has a fairly average route but an insanely dark past. The rest of them felt like pretty average stories with just a few swear words and a little blood tossed in to check off the "horror" box.. I enjoyed it.. It's rather simple, but there are many character routs. So if you are in for the sort of dark theme that makes you curious as to where each character will take you, then I think you'll enjoy this intertwined story.P.S. You get what you pay for, this is very simple VN art wise and hope to see it remade in the future if they ever are able to.. At the moment of writing this review I have very little time in-game because I bought this way back when it was first released and just got my steam key, but this game is so amazing in almost every way, especially for an indie project by a small team without much funding. The art is impeccable, the writing pace never fails to make my heart drop during the especially horrific routes and each voice actor added to the characters even more than was already provided. I hope to see this game get more attention and will be tuning in for future updates as well as any other projects the team may pursue!. Man, it was wild. I've only played two routes of the entire roster, but first one was yandere as ♥♥♥♥ so it had me on edge on my second route.The writing is pretty decent, and the characters are pretty okay. They sometimes steer to the stereotypical sides, but they're still fairly believable. It's a pretty easy VN, I think, to play when you don't want to think too much. If you ever want to learn a true definition of horror and insanity you should spend your time on things like : Kara no Shoujo,Swan Song,Saya no Uta,*Copy/Paste your favorite here*....If you somehow want to spend your time on edgelords (30-35 minutes per route each),who promote word CCCCCCCCCCCCC-RINGE!!! (and sometimes CCCCC-OMBO CCCCCC-RINGE! too <3) to whole new level,while all this gets messed up by wrongly placed partial voiceacting as a bonus (Eira got me in tears with her-"I WIL PROTECT YOU!" in each 3rd sentence),you should play Dead Cringe Wishes.P.S. May change the review to the positive one if you make Eira say-"DEUS VULT!!" in each 3rd sentence.P.P.S.
